Collodion Project 25

Some of you might be following my collodion project on my Facebook and Instagram pages, but I thought I should write something on my website as well. Wet Plate Collodion is such a special photographic process, in my opinion. There is something so raw about the process, and the results that you get are, again in my opinion, mind-blowing!

My passion for Wet Plate Collodion has never left me, so I am making it one of my 2025 goals to get myself set up and shooting. My father was a professional carpenter back in his working days and has been my lifesaver, helping me out with this goal. Back in 2013, he made me a portable darkroom box. Well, I say portable; it is bulky, but it is perfect for setting up an external darkroom space. He has also just helped me attach my old plate camera to a modern tripod. I have promised him he can have the first portrait when I am ready.
